Dekein Ballonvaarten organizes balloon flights throughout Flanders, with Waasland as its home base, the ballooning region par excellence. We also fly in East Flanders, the hilly landscapes of the Flemish Ardennes, and take balloon flights over historic cities such as Bruges and Ghent.
We also organize balloon flights from Aalst and the green Flemish Brabant. From this region, you often have a beautiful view of Brussels during the balloon flight.

Dekein Ballooning was born out of a genuine passion for ballooning and hot air balloons. Balloonist Kenian Dekein became fascinated by balloon flights over Flanders at a young age and dreamed of one day starting his own ballooning company. Today, that childhood dream has become a reality and we take passengers on unique balloon flights over the Flemish landscape every day.
In 2019, Kenian obtained his official ballooning license and since then he has conducted balloon flights in more than 15 countries, both in Europe and beyond. We combine this international experience with a strong local presence in Flanders, where we organize balloon flights for couples, families, and groups from various launch sites.
During the summer season, our pilot flies the hot air balloon almost daily, which ensures enormous practical experience and a safe approach. We have now completed more than 950 balloon flights, each time with the same focus on quality, tranquility, and personal guidance.
In 2022, we made Belgian ballooning history by breaking the national endurance record with a non-stop balloon flight of no less than 15 hours. This record underlines our expertise and passion for ballooning, and is proof of the experience you can expect when you take to the skies with Dekein Ballonvaarten.

After the balloon flight, we celebrate your courage with our famous "Après Ballooning" with Champagne and soft drinks. For morning flights, we provide breakfast.
Ballooning is completely safe. At the start of the balloon flight, all passengers receive a safety briefing from the balloon pilot.
Ballooning is an unforgettable experience, and we like to take our time. We spend at least one hour in the air, and the entire activity lasts 3-4 hours.
Ballooning takes place in the great outdoors and we fly at the mercy of the wind. We therefore recommend that you wear sturdy walking shoes and long pants, as we don’t know where we will land.

Of course! Ballooning is for all generations. We do ask that children be at least tall enough to see over the basket (1.10 m). This way, children can also enjoy the beautiful views during the balloon flight.
Our balloon flights last at least one to one and a half hours, depending on the package you have booked. The total experience lasts 3 to 4 hours.
